Packed Lunches

Sandwiches

Sandwiches should be used as sparingly as possible, and then be restricted to two slices of bread (carbohydrate content: 24 grams) at any one meal, spread liberally with butter.

The secret is to ensure that what fills the sandwich is enough to fill you. The bread may be fresh or toasted. Bear in mind that normally sliced bread contins about 12 grams of carb per slice.

Basic pancake base

In place of bread, why not use one of the basic pancakes as a replacement. The Almond/Parmesan pancake, when cold, can be sliced horizontally as used in place of two slices of bread. Using this pancake cuts the amount of carbs to almost none
