Diabetes diet - Meals
Part 2: Lunch and dinner
Breakfast is by far the most important meal. The others not so important. However, similar patterns should be adopted.
It is better, if possible, to have the larger meal in the middle of the day rather than the usual practice of having it in the evening.
The smaller meal in the evening will ensure that blood glucose overnight and in early morning does not go too high.
It is also better for weight maintenance and weight loss not to eat a lot when all you are going to do is sit and watch TV or go to bed.

Lunch 1:00 pm
300g fat pork chop
40g carrots
70g runner beans
60g squash
50g onion
Butter on vegetables
Carb=16g, Protein=57g, Fat=90g. Total calories=1098 cals
Evening 6:45pm
140g brie cheese
75g apple
50g cream (in drink)
Carbs=13.9g, Protein=31g, Fat=45.9g . Total calories=593 cals
